Sheng Lu

Sheng is responsible for covering both general partners and limited partners in Asia.

Prior to this, Sheng was a Partner with Heidrick & Struggles (H&S) and founded and led the H&S Fund Placement initiative. Sheng assisted general partners in China with their fund raising programs and served the recruitment needs of Private Equity and Venture Capital funds and their portfolio companies.

Sheng was an Advisor to Milestone Capital. He had served, from 2005 to 2007, as CFO of Onewave Inc, a late stage start-up IT/Internet Company financed by VC funds such as Chengwei, Granite (GGVC), Venture TDF (now KPCB China), and Intel Capital. From 2003 to 2005, Sheng had been a Principal Consultant for Heidrick & Struggles, China.

Sheng has over 20 years of working experience in the United States, Asia and China. Before 2002, he had served in the capacity of Managing Director, Chief Representative, Business Development Director, and Director for Merger and Acquisition in North America for Mirant and Coastal Power in the US and China. He served for a number of years as Chairman of Board for four Sino-Foreign Joint Venture Companies in China, and managed significant power related assets.

Sheng holds an MBA, Finance from University of North Texas, USA; Master of Arts, Comparative Literature and Bachelor of Arts, English from Fudan University, China.
